I've noticed how some people give their cats totally unrealistic names on other Warriors sites. Here on Before Sunrise, we will only allow traditional names. So I've made this thread to help you understand what types of names we accept.
Before we move on to what you came here for, remember that this only applies to cats within the Clans. Loners, rogues and kittypets may have any name.
We will not accept names of anything that the cats shouldn't know the name of, or what it is. For instance, Bombpaw or Computerpaw. Even things like Winterpaw, Springpaw, Summerpaw, and Autumn/Fallpaw are unacceptable since these aren't the names that they know the seasons by.
The prefix should always have something to do with your cat's looks or personality. The suffix will come later, and it should always have something to do with your cat's special ability or a dominant feature, such as Yellowstripe (yellow cat with overbearing tabby stripes). Another example would be Brambleclaw (brown tabby cat with great fighting skills). Get it? Good.
After something happens to your cat, you can always have a name-changing ceremony. Lets say your cat's ear gets bitten in half. You could ask your leader, or your leader could do it themselves, to change your cat's name to Halfear or something along those lines.
Also, don't make a cat who is completely black but his prefix is "Yellow-" because that doesn't make sense at all. He wouldn't have opened eyes when he's named, so even if he has yellow eyes, that wouldn't make any sense.
We will not be lenient with this. If you read this and make a cat with a way-too-creative name anyways, you will be asked to change it. It is a large pet peeve of mine when people make warriors with unrealistic names.
You are also not allowed to share the same prefix as one of the Clans. It is disrespectful to the founders.
Ebonycrow has a really useful list of acceptable prefixes and suffixes at your disposal, if you're still confused.
That's about it. If you have any questions whatsoever, don't hesitate to PM one of the staff! We'll be glad to help. --- lyric
