FOXPAW [/size][/b] Foxpaw was in a very good mood today. The sun was shining and her fur felt extraodinarily glossy. The vain part of herself forced her to take a few long moments of stretching in the direct sunlight, casting a fiery hue to the ground below. She was clearly showing off, and added a few tail twitches with her bushy fur for added effect. GoldenClan had recently stopped its stupid war with BrookClan. She'd hoped it would at least mean she could slack off a little more on her apprentice duties, but Spiderstar was such a prick and so far nothing had changed. Today, she tried to keep out of view of the elders' den, in case she was requested to rid them of their ticks tonight. She shuddered in dramatized agony just at the thought of the mouse bile.
The foxy apprentice picked at the fresh-kill pile. It was nearing the end of the day, and the sunset was now giving the territory a thick glow of reds and yellows. It was quite romantic, really. As she picked up a skinny mouse with her teeth, she settled down in a quiet corner, looking around the camp before starting to pick at her food. There seemed to be no one else eating yet, which was sad, because she enjoyed sharing tongues with Clanmates, to hear the latest gossip and talk about her training.
She wondered, too, where Lightningstorm was. She would not say that her mentor was the easiest tom to get along with, but there was a lot about him that she liked. He always seemed to know everything about everyone, and liked to tell you his honest opinions. She liked honesty, even if she wasn't the most honest cat herself. He could get pretty downright mean, though, and that was where their similarities ended. Foxpaw was not mean, just very opinionated.
She bit furiously into her mouse, as though this meal was just another lesson about hunting. Maybe someone would join her or call her out for a midnight patrol. She got pretty tired at the end of the day, but she so felt up for a late-night border patrol! You never knew when those sneak water-lovers in BrookClan might pop in for a "chat."

Icefire was playing with a few apprentice's when she noticed Foxpaw sitting alone, biting furiously into a poor mouse. The white she-cat's bi-colored eyes filled with curiousity. "Uh, I gotta go, see you guy later. keep on trying those moves I told ya about!" she said to the apprentices and left them to themselves. Icefire strode over to Foxpaw with a kind, entergetic smile. "Hey, Foxpaw! Mind if I sit with you? You seemed to be mad about something and I wanted to know if I could do something to help." she said honestly. As usual, Icefire was straight to the point and honest. "I'm guessing it's about your mentor....Lightningstorm?" she guessed.
The young warrior knew all too well what it was like having such a grumpy mentor since she'd had Spiderstar as her beloved mentor. Though she loved him, he'd made her furious countless times because of his cold front and harsh teachings. Later, however, she learned to resoect and be thankful for him teching her all she knows. "I'm all ears if you want to tell me." she offered, her gaze shifting from her paws to Foxpaw once again. Icefire's tail was twitching restlessly behind her, showing her neverending energy. She looked expectantly at the apprentice for an answer.

Foxpaw stopped her rythmic chewing and swallowed as she saw Icefire approaching. Her honey-colored eyes narrowed thoughtfully. The white she-cat was well known around the Clan. She was a barrel full of energy and often came home to camp with a dirty pelt. Foxpaw neither liked nor disliked her. In reality, she didn't know her too well just yet. She couldn't recall having an in depth conversation with her before. Foxpaw was actually surprised when the warrior settled down nearby and offered her company and a listening ear.
She almost felt guilty after hearing Icefire's thoughts. Was she really giving off such angry vibes? She took a mental note to start eating slower from now on.
"Oh. No, I'm not mad at anything," she said with a slightly confused tone, meeting Icefire's gaze. "I'm just so used to eating quickly and running back out of camp for war patrols. I forget that at the end of the day, I can relax now."
She grew up at the end of the war, so Foxpaw was used to being hungry, tired, and busy. Of course, she felt all of those things still throughout the day. In her mind, not a whole lot had changed. In many ways she was disappointed about the end of the war - her perceptive mind grasped that because of the war, she'd be made a warrior much sooner. Mostly because warriors were essential for fighting, and also because she'd be involved in a lot more fights than usual, or so the elders always said. Now that chance was gone. She felt as though she'd be a warrior forever.
"I'm not mad at Lightningstorm...yet," she replied with a mischevious grin.

A huge grin formed on Icefire's face. "That's great! I was worried about you. Oh, and a word of advice, if you do get mad at Lightningstorm, tell me. I can help you plot some great, evil revenge!"[/i][/b] the white warrior winked. A laugh shuddered through her frame as she thought of what she could do. "I used to torture Spiderstar every day. His reactions were so priceless!" she chuckled fondly. "I tell you, memories including angry mentors always turn out to be the best." Icefire purred. After thinking about Spiderstar, her eyes scanned her surroundings for him. "Just don't be too extreme with your tricks. They may hold your ceremony back...Like Spiderstar almost did to me." she continued seriously.
Her white tail was now dusted with the soil. She flicked her tail sharply to shake it out. After a look at her paws, she did the same with them, grooming them carefully. Flexing her claws to get between her toes, Icefire stopped licking her front paw and swiped it over her face. After the quick groom, she set her paw down and looked up at the sky momentarily, smiling at the beatiful color. After remembering she was in a conversation, she trained her amber and blue bi-colored eyes on Foxpaw expectantly.
