<----Rainshadow
she-cat, 21 moons
RANK: warrior
ALLIANCE: GoldenClan
APPEARANCE: A seal-point she-cat with blue eyes.
PERSONALITY:
Calm
It takes quite a bit to get Rainshadow all stirred up. She's naturally very calm, and tends to enjoy the peace of everything more than almost life itself. Those moments when her sister isn't the center of her whole world, are the days that she lives for, and tends to cherish the most. She does wish that perhaps she had a chance to be her own cat, before having to shadow Creekpaw, almost constantly. She's pretty much a cat you can go to with a trouble, and she'll do her best to sort it out, or at least, listen to your problem. It takes a lot to piss her off, or to upset her in generally, but when you do, she'll probably do her best to hide it. She dislikes distressing other cats, even if they are the ones who distressed her in the first place. She doesn't have a temper on her, not really, and she rather dislikes it when cats talk crap about other cats. She doesn't think it makes for good Clan unity, and that the petty fights between one another merely makes life more complicated than it should be. She can be rather frustrating, as she seems to have infinite patience.
Mothering
Ironically, she hates to be told she's very mothering, or mother-like. She tends to think cats that are like that are over bearing, and rather hard to give a hint to. Perhaps it's because she's been looking after Creekpaw for so long that she's picked up this personality trait, and no other reason. She tends to admonish apprentices if they say or do something they shouldn't, and though she has a soft spot for kits, she tries to stay as far away as she can. She likes to make other cats happy, and sometimes, all someone needs is someone to listen to them, and as she's actually a fairly quiet cat, she doesn't mind listening. However, to talk to another queen, and be spoken to as if she knows what they're going through, or have gone through, it is one thing that drives her up the wall. She didn't raise her sister, she merely made sure she didn't die! She didn't kit her, didn't nurse her, so why some cats think she might as well be her mother is beyond her!
Sarcastic
Perhaps cynical might be the better word for it. Despite her calm and rather mothering nature, she does have a mild bite to go along with it. She has just enough humor in her, and just enough sting, to make her more than just another push-over. She tends to see the dark side of things, and bring the light-hearted cats crashing back down to reality. She dislikes those that are merely floating along in their happy worlds, content to be blind to the pain and hurt that is all around them. Sarcasm is perhaps her favorite form of striking back. When hurt or scared, she tends to speak without thinking, which can get her into a confrontation, or perhaps just a tiny bit of trouble. She tends to return sarcasm with sarcasm, though she does find quite a bit of humor in it, despite those saying it's the lowest form of wit and humor. You know, she really is quite easily amused, come to think of it.
Strong-minded
She has a very strong opinion of just what is right and what is wrong. She knows what she stands for, and what she doesn't. She won't let anyone tell her what's in her head, and those that try to, end up on the wrong end of her claws. She has no problem telling you what she thinks, or arguing her point. She also doesn't know when it's good to back down, as she doesn't read subtle body language too well. However, even if she can tell that a paw is about to come to her face, that doesn't mean she'll back down, as she doesn't care, especially if the other cat is still insisting that they're correct. It irks her, when those who know they're wrong insist they're right, and refuse to see reason. However, to be honest, she enjoys a good argument. It keeps you sharp, mentally and verbally.
REASON FOR NAME:
Rain - she was born during a devastating rain storm.
Shadow- The markings on her face, and her ability to relatively sneak around unseen.
FAMILY:
Mother:Dewfeather
Father:Rockheart
Brother:Stormcall
Sister:Leafkit, Creekpaw - NPC
HISTORY:
kit:
Rockheart and Dewfeather had two litters of kits. Rainshadow and her brother, Stormcall were in the first, and Creekpaw and the deceased Leafkit. Rainkit and Stormkit were close as could be, and often were on the heels of one another. The Clan was surprised that their mother survived the birth of her kits, simply because she was on the older end of the spectrum of queens. To her mother, she was her little Raincloud, while her brother was her little Stormcloud. They had a good kit-hood, and at first, it appeared life was going great.
Apprentice
A moon after she became an apprentice, her mother gave birth to another littler, which only Creek-kit survived. Leafkit, didn't even get to take her first breath. Rainpaw and Stormpaw were delighted to be older siblings, and often visited their siblings, when they weren't busy. They stayed close, but other than that, not much really went on with the siblings. As an apprentice, Rainpaw had her crushes, and her hates, and her loves.
Her brother fell hard for another pretty apprentice, who, for reasons unknown to Rainpaw, disliked her brother, and often openly mocked him. It made her angry, and to see her brother still go gaga over the stupid cat, mate her teeth itch beyond all reason. Honestly, she is one of the few cats that she has ever truly hated. She tried to talk to Stormpaw, to get him to see the light, and was when he looked at her, and she saw the pain in his blue eyes, that she knew the truth. He knew. He was aware. He hurt, so much, to have his heart and feelings trod on, again and again. However, he told her that if he didn't have a goal to work towards, his meaning in life would be nothing. No goal, no life, simple as that.
He never did get the girl, either.
Warrior
Rainpaw was made Rainshadow, and her brother Stormcall. A moon or so after they became warriors, there was an incident that would forever burn her memories. Creek-kit, showed up missing on morning. Along with their father, she and her brother set out looking for their little sister. They had split up, to cover more ground. She found Creek-kit, facing down a rogue, who was merely amused by the small kit. However, horror slapped her when she saw the tom's claws unsheathed and getting ready to strike.
She dashed forward, grabbing her sister, almost tripping due to her weight, before realizing it was futile, and turned to face down the rogue. It was only then that Stormcall bounded forth, bristling and hissing at the other cat. He told her to go, to take Creek-kit and get her back to camp. Rainshadow picked up her sister, at least as best she could, and got back to camp. Her mother fussed over her, and Rainshadow went back to help her brother, worry heavy in her heart.
By time she got there, her father had gotten there, and he was trying to drag her brother's body back to camp. He had been injured badly, and had died mere moments after the rogue's. She had helped her father take the sad weight back to camp, and that night, she replayed the day in her head, what she could of done differently. A moon later, her sister became an apprentice.
A few weeks after her brother's death, her mother started to fall ill. Her father and her mother had recently moved to the elder's den, due to several reasons. Her mother was getting on in age, and her father, well, he was deteriorating mentally. He would forget who she was, or he'd see things that weren't there. Worst of all, he'd tell these stories, that were simply just disturbing at best. She and her mother tried to moderate just how much time he had alone with kits and Creekpaw.
Her mother died a slow death, due to green cough, and it destroyed her father to do nothing for her, and to have to just sit there and watch as his mate died.
Her father just fell to pieces after that. He was never the same, and he might of just gotten worse. It was up to Rainshadow to keep an eye on her active sister, but also watch her deranged father. Life, has never been so stressful.
