the rules!!
[/blockquote]the basics;;it may seem like a lot to read, but really, it's not. please read the rules carefully, don't just skim. if you do, the staff will obviously know when you start breaking them, so do yourself a favor and read them, it'll only take about five minutes of your time. :3
01. Respect all of the staff members. Being disrespectful to someone, especially someone with power over you, will not get you far. So be smart people and make love, not war.in character rules;;
02. This site needs to be a active site. I know that you can't get on every day, but if you can't get on at least three times a week, then this site is not for you. If you're going to be gone for more than five days, then please post a thread in the absence board, unless you want to risk being deleted.
03. You are allowed to create as many characters as you think you can handle, but please do not make more than you are capable of keeping active. Please make only one account for all of your characters, not an account for each character.
04. A member is only allowed to have one high position at a time. If your current high rank has been killed or retired, feel free to audition for another should one become available. That being said, in order to have a high rank position, you must audition your character in the auditions board. Your character does not need to be already made in order to audition, however you will only have up to two weeks to get your profile finished if you are chosen.
05. No asking staff if you can become a staff member. We will choose who we think are capable of being staff - if you ask us your request will be ignored and your chances of becoming staff will be ruined.
06. NO SPAMMING! Don't join a thread just to say, "Hey, come join our thread!" It's not only unnecessary, but annoying. If you want to spam and chat with other members, go to the general board, the bell toll rings, and try to find someone to roleplay with you there. Just keep in mind that in character boards and out of character boards are meant to be separate.
07. Don't bug a person saying, "WHY HAVEN"T YOU POSTED ON OUR THREAD! POST!" People have lives and may be doing other things, or maybe they just don't feel up to it at the time. A member will post when they want to, so please don't bug someone unless it is completely necessary.
08. You are not allowed to choose your own mentor if you make an apprentice, and vice versa. The leader of your Clan will assign apprentices to their mentors; it just prevents a lot of confusion for the staff. You can, however, request a certain cat as a mentor or apprentice from your leader if you have not yet been assigned one. As such, if your apprentice is not yet a warrior, you will not be allowed to choose their warrior name when the time arises; you can, likewise, request a certain suffix from your leader.
09. You are not allowed to have a character that shares the same name as one of the Clans. For instance, you can't have a cat named Goldenpaw or Boulderclaw. I believe it would be disrespectful to the Clan founders. You also may not have a cat that shares the same name as the seasons, Silverpelt or StarClan.01. NO GODMODING. You can't just say that "He attacked her and pinned her against the ground." However, you can't just dodge all shots either. That makes you no fun to RP with. Also, we don't want any Mary Sue's or Gary Stus - everyone has weaknesses. If I think that your character is acting like either of those, I will send you a link to a test to see if it is. And you must be honest with the results. However, if you would like to check anyways, the test can be found here.
02. This site rating is PG-13. Cursing is allowed, but not excessively. And no graphic mating. We have members as young as thirteen here, so they most likely do not want to read about that kind of stuff. Also, no gory battle scenes either. We don't want any member feeling grossed out.
03. PLEASE write something worth reading in your posts. This is a semi-literate to advanced rp site, so no one-liners are allowed. Even just a couple of paragraphs is fine if you're in a writer's block. However, the minimum word count on this site is two hundred. If that's too hard for you, than this site may not be for you.
04. The only animal we roleplay on this board is cats. If you want to roleplay wolves or foxes, then go to a wolf/fox rp site. Also, it is required that a potential member has read at least one book of the Warriors series before they can join. We don't want random people who have never heard of the series join and have no idea what's going on or how to post.
05. Your characters cannot have special powers or elements. Powers like flying or elements like wings, red and blue stripes, ect. Is there such a cat with a blue pelt and red stripes? No. And no abnormalities like fiery red eyes. Cats don't have red eyes. Make things original people! The password for the rules is you'll never know.
06. Please use proper spelling and grammar. I understand if you make a spelling error. But it's also possible to go back and edit a post. Please capitalize the first letter of the first word in your sentence and all names. I expect you are above 6th grade and know spelling and grammar. Also, posts should always be in third person and past tense. Except when your character is talking.
07. Before a kit younger than five moons can be accepted, you must find either a foster mother for it, or someone to roleplay its real mother.
08. Don't use colors that clash with our current skin in your posts. It would blind people, and most likely it would deter anyone from reading what you have to say.
signatures and avatars;;01. Your avatar can be of anything you want - your character, you, your cat, favorite quote, etc. However, it should be no bigger or smaller than 100x100.
02. No huge signatures. 472x250 is the biggest any signature can be, we don't want any of them stretching the boards.
03. Absolutely no nudity. No one wishes to see that. If you post any kind of nudity on the site, it will be deleted immediately.
c-box;;01. Don't spam the c-box. Spam is small pointless annoying messages. Conversations are welcomed. That's what it's for. But absolutely no spam.
02. Also, no advertising. It's okay to have your site linked to your name, but don't draw attention to it. And no flat-out advertising, like saying "Hey people come to my site!" or anything related to that.
03. Lastly, no cursing or fighting. This is not tolerated at all. You will be suspended for a day or two if this happens and if it continues being banned from the site is an option.
